The Sask-Rescue Lifesaving & Lifeguard Club was created in 1987 to meet a specific need in Saskatoon. Our main goal is to provide a realistic environment where participants could learn and practice rescue, leadership skills and techniques that will be used in a real emergency and in teaching others. We exist to train the best possible lifesavers, lifeguards, and instructors. We operate in a club format instead of a class format. This means that the participants in our program belong to the Sask-Rescue Lifesaving & Lifeguard Club and thus receive all of the benefits that come from belonging instead of just signing up for a course.
